I have a white lab, so I wanted something that was a lighter color, but not something that was just a solid color that would show stains as much. This is definitely not a thick plush carpet, but that's kind of what I was looking for also! I have a 6 month old who is going to be crawling soon and I wanted a *new* *clean* carpet, that was easy to vacuum so I didn't want a super thick one...or expensive. So basically this filled all my needs, and was exactly what I wanted. I really like it.
